HOLISTIC DESIGN COURSE
In this course we will learn and develop skills of:
1) Hand Drawing (observation, nature, natural patterns, architecture, perspective, structure, volume, shadow, sacred geometry, etc...)
2) Design Thinking & Design methodologies for permaculture design and social entrepreneurship ( 10 steps to develop a successfull project, scalable and replicable worldwide. Design language, strategies and techniques )
3) Computer Design Softwares ( Vectorial technical-drawing, Image transformation and 3D modeling )
About the trainer:
Rui Pessoa Vasques is the founder and President of Live With Earth Organization. Since 2011, he is developing his master thesis in design "Sustainable Constructions : Eco-Village Community", which turned into an icon and model of "Sustainable Social Model", and also became the Vision of this organization, alongside with it's mission: Awareness (Water), Empowerment (Earth), Convergence (Fire) and Innovation (Air).
With a vast experience in the fields of Design, Design Thinking, Social Entrepreneurship, Permaculture Design, Eco-Village Design and Alternative Economies, he has been developing sustainable projects since 2014, and start teaching since 2015. Currently he is a professor in IADE - UNIVERSIDADE EUROPEIA in Design for Society.
Some of this projects involve ecologial gardens and vegetable gardens, holistic systems of productivity (food, energy, water, fire, tools, shelter), natural building projects, design of methodologies and strategies for communities, companies and organizations, fire systems such as clay ovens, mass heaters and other cooking and warming systems, eco-villages, education, and many other related topics. All of them start with mental brainstorming through mindmap drawing processes.
Winner of national and global awards, currently he is finishing the PhD in Design, in IADE : UNIDCOM, coordinating different projects, teams and event brands, and working with several partnerships in Portugal, and at European Level (ERASMUS+ and European Solidarity Corps).
